Sorry again for failing my schedule but I was very sad yesterday so my writing desire completely disappeared, but don’t worry I am much better now !
This movie isn’t the best comedy sequel ever however it isnt the worst, it is just decent. It has a nice following story managing to get a good excuse to continue the same plot from the original while also bringing its essenc.
Only this time there are some differences – new neighbors ( high school girls ) move in and build a sorority that turned out to be even more debaucherous than the fraternity previously living there, so Mac and Kelly team with their former enemy, Teddy, to bring the girls down in order for them to sell the house and leave that neighborhood.
Now, I am not the biggest fan of Seth Rogen but he isn’t bad or irritating playing this dad character, plus Zack Efron helps a lot because he really has proved to be a good actor, not just the guy who shows the abbs.
Also, Chloë Grace Moretz, Kiersey Clemons, Beanie Feldstein do a great job as the main party hosts, great chemistry between them. In relation to the scenes, most of them are funny as well as the characters that perform it, though the one that I liked the most was when they were stealing the weed. It was funny mixed up with some action making awesome moments.
Although, there are some flaws in it too, of course, for example, the green screen Sidney, cases of forced comedy, over use of sexual content and profane language and you may be thinking that that is normal on a Seth Rogen flick, well for me, they are still flaws.
On the other hand, like I said earlier, it was still good to watch a nice sequel with Seth playing a “normal guy” for a change, a nice dad that it is trying to raise her daughter better as well as his wife. In addition, I also loved the feminist movement that the girls were trying to do with sorority, due to the simple fact that there are woman fighting for their rightful place in our society. Women and Men are EQUALS !
I rate : 6,5 / 10
