The Big Short – Review

the-big-short-1

Just like Bridge Of Spies, my expectations were high for this film but, sadly, it didn’t quite paid of !

As seen in the picture, this is another true story which is about four people in the world of high – finance that predict the credit and housing bubble collapse of the mid 2000s so they decide to take on the big banks despite the consequences.

At first sight, seeing names like – Ryan Gosling, Steve Carrell, Brad Pitt and Christian Bale – together in a film should be exciting however it wasn’t the case. Personally, it wasn’t that awful I mean the characters were distinct and interesting portrayed by the best actors in Hollywood and the cinematography was different and exceptional nevertheless the story was too complicated and detailed.

In conclusion, it was better than the last review – Bridge Of Spies – but I was expecting MORE !

Nominated for : Best Picture, Best Actor In A Supporting Role ( Christian Bale ), Best Directing ( Adam Mckay ), Best Film Editing and Best Writing ( adapted screenplay ).

I rate : 7,2 / 10
