Uau, just uau ! This, I was not expecting !

This story, based on a book written by Emma Donoghue, is about a mother and her 5 year old son who are trapped in a room and after they get out the boy has to struggle to fit in in the new reality and the “new world”.

Brie Larson and Jacob Tremblay did a spetacular job, the story was deep full of heartstopping moments and the concept of the story is very disturbing  but it shows exactly how it is to experience something like this, specially for the kid, since he spent all of his life in there .

I highly advise everybody to see this movie and after you do it tell me what you thougt, I am certain it will be a good thing. Also it makes perfect sense on why this film is nominated for the Oscars.

Nominated for : Best Picture, Best Actress In A Leading role ( Brie Larson ), Best Directing ( Lenny Abrahamson ) and Best Writing ( adapted screenplay ).

I rate : 8,4 / 10

  1. The acting was above and beyond. Pretty great start for young actor, Jacob Tremblay. I hope that he can continue in this path and not fall within the unfortunate levels as so many brilliant child actors have in the past.
